Located at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, this structure was truly a “Sky” Club. The entire structure was built over the top of the existing Concourse. Four enormous columns supported the superstructure. Specialty Spray Systems installed Monokote Z106 to the underside of the mega trusses and framing that supported the floor. Monokote MK6 was used for the floors and roof framing above. Because the underside of the entire floor area was exposed to outside temperatures, 4.5 inches of Thermacoustic spray applied insulation was installed to the slab. The pedestrian bridge that connected the existing concourse to the Sky Club had exterior steel that needed fireproofing as well. Carbolines Thermolag E100 epoxy intumescent fireproofing was used.
